Advanced Legal Software was established in 1990, around the time that the Child Support Guidelines were changed to the "Income Shares" model that is used today.
Attorneys and Judges needed a quick and easy way to accurately calculate Child Support Payment for their clients based on the new Guidelines, so we created the first computer-based Child
Support Software program for use in North Carolina.
We began our company in Raleigh, NC, but moved the company to Salisbury, NC in 1995. In August, 2002, we moved the company one final time to Carolina Beach, NC, where our offices are now located.
Since our inception, we have added many more software programs that are used by numerous Attorneys and Judges through the state. The software that we offer now are basically commonly used automated AOC forms. Our clients enjoy using our automated forms, because they are resident on their PC or network, easy to use, and are designed to save all case information entered into them. They are also very low in cost, making them affordable by all legal professionals.
Like other software companies, we began our business by selling our software. Now, we use the "subscription" method for distributing our software products. In other words, to use our software, simply subscribe to it's use (click on the Subscribe button above for more information about this). In addition, we no longer send out CD's, unless our client specifically orders it. All of our software is available on line for download from this website.
We owe a debt of gratitude to all of the Attorneys, Paralegals and Judges that have helped us along the way. We owe continued success to them!
